How to Change Breeding Speed in Palworld

Speed up egg production and incubation with current in-game breeding mechanics.

Breeding Farm speed and egg incubation speed are separate systems. Work Speed does not directly shorten the Breeding Farm timer. Improve the breeding phase with breeding-specific passives and continuous parent activity, then improve incubation with the right incubator conditions.

Make parents breed faster

Philanthropist is the main breeding-focused passive. A parent with Nocturnal can continue through the night instead of sleeping, and using suitable traits on both parents reduces downtime across a large batch. Braloha working at the base can also improve the breeding timer through its partner effect.

Remove avoidable downtime

Keep Cake in the Breeding Farm chest, confirm both assigned Pals remain inside the farm, and make sure neither is incapacitated or stuck. Cake is consumed for completed eggs, so an empty chest stops the production line even when the parents are assigned correctly.

Hatch eggs faster

Place eggs in an incubator and match their temperature preference. The incubator status tells you whether the egg is comfortable. Better comfort increases incubation speed; the wrong temperature removes that bonus. Heating and cooling research can further shorten the hatching phase.

What does not work

General work-speed passives do not replace breeding passives, and adding Handiwork Pals to the base does not make the Breeding Farm meter move faster. Build parallel farms only after the Cake supply and incubator capacity can support them.

Plan the next batch

Use the Breeding Calculator to lock the target and parents before producing dozens of eggs. For a practical target, follow the Anubis breeding guide.
