How Ranch Production Works in Palworld

Assign Farming Pals to a Ranch, collect their actual drops, and avoid confusing Wool production with meat drops.

The Ranch is a base building for Pals with Farming suitability. It is not a repeatable “Ranch Hand” quest and it does not grant a fixed reward bundle.

Assign a Farming Pal

Place a compatible Pal in the base and make sure it can reach the Ranch. Different species produce different items while grazing. Lamball is an early option for Wool, while other Farming Pals can produce items such as Eggs, Milk, Honey, or specialized materials.

Move drops into storage

Ranch products appear on the ground and must be collected by the player or a Transporting Pal. Put storage close to the Ranch and keep the route unobstructed so transport work does not consume most of the production cycle.

Wool is not Mutton

Lamball can produce Wool at the Ranch. Lamball Mutton is a creature drop obtained through the relevant capture, defeat, or butchering mechanics; it is not a normal Ranch product. A Ranch therefore cannot be described as a passive Wool-and-Mutton farm.

Balance the workforce

Too many grazing Pals can starve the rest of the base of Transporting, food production, or crafting workers. Add Ranch workers only when beds, food, storage, and transport can support them.
