How to Automate a Berry Plantation in Palworld

Automate Red Berry production with the correct Planting, Watering, Gathering, and Transporting Pals.

A Berry Plantation is a base production building, not a repeatable quest. Once built, it produces Red Berries through a work cycle: a Pal plants the crop, another waters it, and a Gathering Pal harvests it. A Transporting Pal can then move the harvest into nearby storage or a Feed Box.

Cover every work suitability

Assign at least one Pal with Planting, one with Watering, and one with Gathering. A single Pal may cover more than one step, but production stops whenever the next required suitability is unavailable. Transporting is optional for growth, although it prevents harvested Berries from remaining on the ground.

Lamball has Farming for Ranch work; that does not make it a Planting or Watering worker. Do not assign Lamball as the only worker for a Berry Plantation.

Place food and storage nearby

Keep the plantation, Feed Box, and storage close together so workers spend less time walking. Leave clear paths around every side of the field and avoid crowding it with foundations or decorative objects that can interrupt Pal navigation.

Know what the plantation produces

The building produces Red Berries. It does not generate Wheat Seeds. To start Wheat production, obtain the required seeds separately and follow the Wheat Seeds guide.

Scale only after the first field runs smoothly

One fully staffed field is more useful than several stalled fields. Add another plantation only when Planting, Watering, Gathering, transport, food, and storage can keep up with the extra work.
