How to Make Bait in Palworld
Craft Simple, High Quality, Deluxe, and Alluring Bait for the current fishing system.
Unlock a fishing set, craft bait at an eligible workbench, and equip it with a Fishing Rod. Simple Bait is enough to fish; higher tiers improve bite speed, the minigame, or reward chances.
Craft Simple Bait
Simple Bait is made in batches from Red Berries, Pal Fluids, and Flour. Grow Wheat and process it at a Mill for Flour. The Wheat Seeds guide covers the first plantation.
Choose the right tier
High Quality Bait improves how quickly Pals bite. Deluxe Bait improves the capture bar. Alluring Bait combines stronger fishing assistance with a better chance of item drops. Use the cheap tier for routine catches and save advanced bait for difficult or valuable shadows.
Buy bait when convenient
Fishing merchants can sell bait, and current loot pools may also award it from chests, raids, salvage, or scrap. Buying a first stack is useful when you want to test fishing before building the full ingredient chain.
Equip before casting
Keep both the Fishing Rod and bait in your inventory, equip the rod, select a visible Pal shadow, and cast. If the game reports missing bait, confirm the bait stack is carried by the character rather than left in base storage.
