How to Get Ancient Civilization Cores in Palworld
Farm Ancient Civilization Cores from raids, the Oil Rig, and high-level expeditions.
Ancient Civilization Cores are late-game materials. The main sources are raid bosses, the main Oil Rig chest, and sufficiently advanced Pal Expeditions. They cannot be crafted or bought from ordinary merchants.
Farm raid bosses
Raid rewards are the most direct combat source. Build a Summoning Altar away from important base structures, prepare a full combat team, and summon a raid tier your roster can clear reliably. Harder raid variants can provide better late-game rewards but cost more preparation.
Check the Oil Rig
The main chest at the Oil Rig can contain a small random quantity of Ancient Civilization Cores. Treat it as a high-risk repeatable route: clear or bypass the defenses, open the main reward chest, and leave before spending more ammunition than the run is worth.
Use Pal Expeditions
High-difficulty expedition destinations can return Ancient Civilization Cores without an active combat run. Expeditions require a Pal Expedition Station and progression through faction leaders. Stronger assigned Pals improve the chance of receiving the full reward set.
Do not confuse cores with parts
Ancient Civilization Parts are the more common material from Alpha and Lucky Pals. Cores are rarer and reserved for advanced recipes. If a recipe asks for both, farm them separately with the Ancient Civilization Parts guide.
Spend them deliberately
Check the full recipe before crafting. Advanced shields, incubators, utility equipment, and other end-game projects can require multiple cores, so keep a reserve instead of spending every core on the first available unlock.
