This objective has no fixed map destination. Complete it from your base, inventory, or any suitable location.

Open the Technology menu and unlock Pal Sphere. Pal Sphere requires Paldium, which drops from the blue-tinted nodes along the rivers near the starting plateau.
Craft at least one Pal Sphere at the Workbench, then weaken a wild Pal before you throw it. Aim for a Lamball: it is the easiest target and doubles as the partner skill reward at the Small Settlement.
